Purple Coneflower, Echinacea purpurea, was my Shoshana’s favorite flower.
Shoshana thought they were “happy” flowers.
I couldn’t agree more. Shoshana Ruth Weintraub, of blessed memory.

They are such happy flowers – and present so much variety even within their type. Some are more pink, some more purple, and then they have the different stages as the cone develops. I can’t get enough of them though I have few full sun spots to host them. Love seeing yours.

They are cheery and were one of the first native flowers that I grew–so Shoshana and Aaron always had them in the gardens.

Yes! I have always thought they were happy-looking flowers, too. 🙂

I thought of her this week and last, as my Shoshana iris bloomed.

I’m glad your iris bloomed. There’s not much that I can say except thank you for remembering, posting and enjoy and appreciate your daughter.
